Every trader’s loyalty-level conditions, in one table: PMC level plus reputation, now that the rouble/dollar turnover gate has been removed in patch 1.1.0.0. The numbers below come from the per-trader pages on the official Escape from Tarkov Wiki, each cross-checked against its own edit date so you can see whether it postdates the patch.
If you searched for a Tarkov quest chain in the last month, you probably read something that was true and is now wrong. Patch 1.1.0.0 took the thing every wiki page and every quest tracker was built on — this task unlocks that task — and deleted it. The pages did not update at the task level. They mostly cannot, because the chain structure they describe no longer exists — but the trader pages, which only ever tracked level and reputation gates, did get updated.
The clearest evidence of the confusion is in the threads. Someone asks whether a familiar task was removed in 1.1, and the replies argue about it, half remembering an old name, half describing a batch that appeared without anyone completing anything. Nobody is lying. The question just no longer has a chain-shaped answer.
What actually changed
Straight from the patch notes and BSG’s own announcement, three changes that matter more than the rest:
- Most side tasks are now tied to a trader loyalty level, arriving in groups of two to four per trader rather than one-at-a-time down a chain.
- Trader sales volume was removed from loyalty level requirements entirely. The turnover bar that every older guide lists as a third gate is gone.
- Trade offers were unhooked from tasks. Many items that used to require a specific quest now appear the moment you hit the loyalty level.
- Trader prices moved against you across the board. Trader buy prices rose by an average of 25%, and the price traders pay for items you sell dropped by an average of 20%. That is a flat economy change, not tied to any specific LL, so it applies whether you are LL1 or LL4.
That second one is the reason to be suspicious of any table you find. Below is a live example.
The gate columns, and which one is a ghost
| Gate | Pre-1.1.0 | In 1.1.0 | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| PMC level | Required | Required, rebalanced for 8 traders | Confirmed in patch notes |
| Reputation | Required | Required, rebalanced for 8 traders | Confirmed in patch notes |
| Rouble/dollar turnover | Required | Removed | Confirmed in patch notes |
| Prerequisite task | Common | Rare — a handful of chains only | Confirmed in patch notes |
The eight traders explicitly named as rebalanced are Prapor, Therapist, Fence, Skier, Peacekeeper, Mechanic, Ragman and Jaeger. Existing PvP and PvE characters had their reputation values recalculated against the new numbers, so a rep figure you screenshotted before the patch is not comparable to one you read today.
Here is where the community tables fail. One widely shared Season 1 table lists Prapor LL2 as level 15 / 0.20 rep / ₽750,000, Skier LL4 as level 38 / 0.75 rep / ₽2.6M, Ragman LL4 as level 42, and so on. Those turnover figures cannot be current — the patch notes say the requirement was removed — and that single wrong column is reason enough not to trust the level and rep numbers next to it without checking them separately. So the figures below are not from that table. They are read directly off each trader’s own page on the official Escape from Tarkov Wiki, and each row is dated to when that specific trader page was last edited, so you can judge for yourself whether it is describing the current patch.
Loyalty level requirements, trader by trader
| Trader | LL2 needs | LL3 needs | LL4 needs | Wiki page last edited |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Prapor | Level 6, 0.70 rep | Level 21, 2.70 rep | Level 36, 7.90 rep | 4 August 2026 |
| Therapist | Level 5, 0.60 rep | Level 18, 2.10 rep | Level 37, 5.80 rep | 4 August 2026 |
| Skier | Level 7, 0.60 rep | Level 22, 2.10 rep | Level 38, 5.80 rep | 31 August 2026 |
| Peacekeeper | Level 8, 0.50 rep | Level 19, 2.20 rep | Level 37, 6.00 rep | 6 August 2026 |
| Mechanic | Level 12, 0.60 rep | Level 26, 2.30 rep | Level 40, 7.60 rep | 4 August 2026 |
| Ragman | Level 12, 0.50 rep | Level 27, 2.00 rep | Level 42, 6.50 rep | 4 August 2026 |
| Jaeger | Level 9, 0.60 rep | Level 17, 2.10 rep | Level 33, 7.30 rep | 9 August 2026 |
| Ref | Level 15, 0.25 rep | Level 25, 0.50 rep | Level 35, 1.20 rep | 5 August 2026 |
| Fence | — | — | Level 1, 6.00 rep (single gate) | 3 August 2026 |
Patch 1.1.0.0 shipped on 3 August 2026, and every trader page above except Fence’s was last edited after that date, which is consistent with the patch notes’ claim that level and reputation requirements were rebalanced. Fence’s page is timestamped the same day as the patch, so treat that one row as less certain than the rest — and Fence works differently regardless: his loyalty tracks Scav karma, not PMC level or the rouble/dollar reputation the other eight traders use, which is why the wiki lists only a single gate for him instead of three. The wiki itself carries a standing notice that quest content from patches 1.1 and 1.1.5 may still be incomplete; that notice is about task pages, not about these per-trader level/reputation tables, but it is a reason to re-check your own trader screen if a number here ever looks off. Turnover figures (roubles or dollars) are not listed anywhere above because the patch notes confirm that gate was removed for every trader.
The dataset: trader × loyalty level
Rows are trader-LL pairs, combining the level/reputation gates above with the batch and unlock detail from the patch notes. What is verifiable is marked as such; what is not is marked as not.
| Trader | LL | Reaching it needs | Task batch at this LL | Notable stock unlock |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Prapor | 1 | Default | Basic starter set | Starter presets (new at LL1 in 1.1.0) |
| Prapor | 2–4 | Level 6/0.70, Level 21/2.70, Level 36/7.90 rep | 2–4 tasks per step, non-linear | FMJ ammo shifted down one LL — check the ammo vs armour class matrix before assuming a newly-cheaper round is worth carrying |
| Therapist | 1 | Default | Basic starter set | Basic meds |
| Therapist | 2–4 | Level 5/0.60, Level 18/2.10, Level 37/5.80 rep | 2–4 tasks per step | Top-tier meds and items case at LL4 (community claim, unconfirmed) |
| Skier | 1 | Default | Basic starter set | Starter presets |
| Skier | 2–4 | Level 7/0.60, Level 22/2.10, Level 38/5.80 rep | 2–4 tasks per step | — |
| Peacekeeper | 1 | Default | Basic starter set | — |
| Peacekeeper | 2–4 | Level 8/0.50, Level 19/2.20, Level 37/6.00 rep | 2–4 tasks per step | NATO ammo tiers (community claim, unconfirmed) |
| Mechanic | 2 | Level 12, 0.60 rep | 2–4 tasks | DevTac Ronin helmet — confirmed example in the patch notes |
| Mechanic | 3–4 | Level 26/2.30, Level 40/7.60 rep | 2–4 tasks per step | Meta ammo and mods (community claim, unconfirmed) |
| Ragman | 3 | Level 27, 2.00 rep | 2–4 tasks | Tri-Zip backpack — confirmed example in the patch notes |
| Ragman | 4 | Level 42, 6.50 rep — the highest level gate of any trader in this dataset | 2–4 tasks | Armour, rigs, clothing case (community claim, unconfirmed) |
| Jaeger | 1–4 | Level 9/0.60, Level 17/2.10, Level 33/7.30 rep | 2–4 tasks per step | Retains Tarkov Shooter as a real chain |
| Ref | 1–4 | Level 15/0.25, Level 25/0.50, Level 35/1.20 rep | Not batch-organised; unlocked mainly through Skier’s Easy Money quest line | Now sells armor vests and plate carriers mostly without plates installed, at a reduced price |
| Fence | — | Single gate: karma level 1, 6.00 rep | No batch | Fence rep is a stated Kappa gate |
Two entries in that table are named directly in the patch notes — the Tri-Zip at Ragman LL3 and the DevTac Ronin at Mechanic LL2 — and they are worth more than the rest of the table combined, because they are the pattern: the item is now a property of the loyalty level, not a reward for a named quest. If a guide tells you to run a specific task to unlock a specific piece of kit, check the trader’s stock first. You may already own the unlock.
Reading it against your own LL
The dataset above is a lookup, and the lookup takes one input: your current LL with that trader. Work it in this order.
- Open right now = the batch attached to your current LL, plus anything left over from lower LLs. Batches do not expire when you level past them. A task you skipped at LL1 is still sitting there at LL3.
- Opens next = the batch at LL+1, which you reach through PMC level and reputation — and reputation comes mostly from the tasks in your current batch. This is the loop: the batch you have is the fuel for the batch you want.
- Never opens from a batch = the surviving chains. Tarkov Shooter and The Punisher are the named survivors, they are strictly solo, and they hand out the rare offers and crafts. If a reward matters to you and it is not showing up at any LL, it is probably behind one of these.
The practical consequence: with turnover deleted, there is no longer any reason to churn junk through a trader to raise a bar. Reputation and PMC level are the only two dials, and tasks move both. Time spent flipping loot for turnover is now time spent for nothing.
Why the batch model changes what you should do first
Under chains, the optimal play was depth — pick a trader and drive their chain as far as it went, because everything downstream was locked behind everything upstream. Under batches, the optimal play is breadth. Every trader has two to four tasks open for you at LL1 the moment the wipe starts, and none of them require you to finish anything else. Collecting the cheap ones across all eight traders raises eight reputation bars in parallel.
That inverts a lot of early-wipe advice written before August 2026. Our early-wipe priority guide frames the opening days as a sequencing problem, and the sequencing has genuinely loosened — what stayed true is that PMC level is the gate you cannot shortcut, and levelling is still the slowest bar.
It also reshapes the Collector path, since the destination is now stated as LL4 with every trader plus a Fence reputation threshold and a short remaining quest list, rather than the sprawling per-trader quest count it used to be. (The exact Fence threshold and the exact surviving quest list are unconfirmed here.) If you are tracking that route, count by trader level rather than by quest — count trader levels, not quest checkboxes. Because Season 1 runs on a clock, the seasonal character timer is what tells you whether LL4 across eight traders is realistic in the time you have left, and the seasonal modifier tradeoff covers the other lever on how fast those reputation bars move.
How to check anything in this post yourself
Open the trader, hover the loyalty level bar, and read the requirement rows the game prints. If the game shows two rows and a guide shows three, the guide predates 1.1.0. That single test invalidates most of what is currently indexed on this topic, including tables that otherwise look authoritative and recently dated.
